Cosentino Surfaces, a leading international, family-owned company that responsibly develops high-value innovative surfaces, is the world’s leading producer of Silestone® natural quartz, Eco by Cosentino® recycled surfaces, Sensa® granite and its newest product, Dekton® ultracompact surfaces.

Focusing on the design, production and distribution of architectural and decorative solutions made from natural stone, Cosentino creates and defines leading products that provide innovative and functional solutions for the home and public spaces with careful design, innovation and environmental respect.

Cosentino’s activities cover the entire natural stone manufacturing process, from extraction and processing to the final installation of quartz surfaces, such as kitchen and bathroom countertops, cladding and other products. Currently, the second-generation Spanish company has a large international presence, directly managing facilities in 17 countries, including the United States, and distributing to more than 60 countries with more than 85 percent of its sales generated in international markets.

From a small marble store in Barcelona, the company was established with 17 employees in 1979 and expanded during the 1980s throughout Spain and Europe. Pursuing diversification and international expansion through research and innovation, in 1990 Cosentino undertook an ambitious project that resulted in a revolutionary industrial plant for manufacturing Silestone®.

Recently the Houston-based Cosentino corporate office relocated from Stafford to Sugar Land Town Center following a $172-million investment in the launch of Dekton®, the most significant new product undertaking and expansion since 1990. December 2013 also saw the opening of the 24th Cosentino Center in North America near Beltway 8 and I-10 in west Houston.

Cosentino Centers go beyond typical showrooms by supporting, promoting and educating design and build trade professionals, integrating distribution with product displays, meeting spaces, classrooms, fully functioning kitchens and event space for demonstrations. Visitors can view the latest product and design trends, receive training on new products and applications, host meetings, network and attend expert seminars.
