A Dedicated Team of Health Professionals
Offering a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic-imaging services, the Houston Northwest Medical Center, opened in 1973, has a medical staff of approximately 600 members.
Through the years, HNMC has earned numerous awards for quality. From doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to support staff and administrative personnel, everyone works hard to set HNMC apart from other hospitals making it the hospital of choice for the community.
Handling a range of medical conditions and traumatic injuries, HNMC’s modern diagnostic-imaging equipment includes multiple MRI and CT scanners, a PET scanner, ultrasound and nuclear medicine.
Surgical services include orthopedics, cardiovascular, urology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, plastic surgery and weight loss/bariatric surgery. HNMC’s latest advancement in surgical solutions is the daVinci Robotic system, technology that allows surgeons more precision to offer patients minimal scarring, less pain, shorter hospital stays, lower risk of infection and faster recovery.
HNMC’s specialties include a Sleep Disorders Center that performs overnight studies and provides consultation for various sleep disorders, such as insomnia, sleep apnea or narcolepsy.
Supported by more than 40 cardiologists, the Heart Center provides comprehensive cardiac services, including diagnostic imaging, nuclear stress testing, digital catheterization labs, open-heart surgery and cardiac rehabilitation. Notably, HNMC was the first hospital in Houston designated as a Cycle III Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
The Women’s Atrium at HNMC is committed to providing services dedicated to the health-care needs of women in every stage in their lives with 3D and digital mammography and fitness, wellness and educational services.
HNMC is active in promoting wellness and educating the community about various health-related topics. Community-based seminars and screenings throughout the year cover many important topics, including cardiac/cardiovascular care, women’s health, diabetes and cancer.
When the emergency is too big for a bandage, HNMC now has two Houston Northwest Urgent Care Centers that provide hospital-based patient care for non-life-threatening illnesses for the entire family.
