Founded in 1989 by Terence Hall, Superior Energy has grown from $12 million in revenues and 125 employees to a publicly traded company with more than $4 billion in revenues and nearly 14,000 employees worldwide. Superior Energy’s approach
to growth has been a proactive one—taking advantage of industry cycles, leveraging off its existing base and adapting to changing conditions. These efforts have been underpinned by the company’s commitment to customer service and providing efficient, cost-effective services wherever they are needed.
Superior Energy has a history of developing specialized tools and technologies designed to meet customer needs. In its earliest days, the company pioneered the use of “rigless” plugging and abandonment services. Superior’s employees give annually to the company’s Catastrophic Relief Fund, established to help coworkers through devastating events, such as house fires, floods, tornados and hurricanes. Along with Superior’s employees, the company also supports many other charitable organizations that do good works in the communities it serves
