CITGO Petroleum Corporation

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, CITGO Petroleum Corporation is a refiner, marketer and transporter of gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, lubricants, petrochemicals and other petroleumbased industrial products. CITGO has 3,700 employees and is owned by PDV America, Inc., a Delaware corporation and an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petr leos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. CITGO owns and operates three highly complex crude oil refineries located in Lake Charles, La. (425,000 barrels-per-day [bpd]); Lemont, Ill. (167,000-bpd) and Corpus Christi, Texas (157,000-bpd). Our refineries process approximately 285,000-bpd of Venezuelan crudes, including supplies from Orinoco Oil Belt upgraders.

Our combined aggregate crude oil refining capacity of 749,000-bpd positions us as one of the largest refiners in the United States. We also own and/or operate 48 petroleum product terminals, one of the largest networks in the country. We market motor fuels to independent marketers who consistently rate CITGO as one of the best branded supplier companies in the industry. We also market jet fuel directly to airlines and produce agricultural, automotive, industrial and private label lubricants to independent distributors, mass marketers and industrial customers. In addition, we sell petrochemicals and industrial products directly to various manufacturers and industrial companies throughout the United States. CITGO branded marketers sell motor fuels through approximately 6,100 branded retail outlets. In 2010, CITGO sold a total of 15.3 billion gallons of refined products.

Heating Oil for the Poor:

When the price of heating oil skyrocketed after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, CITGO was the only company that responded to a request from U.S. senators to provide energy assistance to the most vulnerable.?The CITGO-Venezuela heating oil program, which started as a one time donation, was created in 2005 to provide heating oil to needy individuals and the organizations that serve them. The 2010-2011 winter was the program’s 6th consecutive season.

Light Bulbs to Help Save Energy:

The 2011 CITGO-Venezuela Energy Efficient Lighting Program (EELP) is providing 500,000 energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) to help approximately 50,000 low-income households in seven United?State cities, including Houston, save energy and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Humanitarian Relief:

The people of CITGO have generously supported in recent times earthquake survivors in Haiti, those displaced by tornadoes in the U.S. southeast and flood victims in Venezuela.
