People. Performance. Integrity. Value creation. Social responsibility. Independent spirit. These are the values that define Hess Corporation.
Every day, more than 12,000 Hess employees discover, develop, transport, refine and market the energy that powers the world. With its Exploration and Production headquarters in Houston, and the Marketing and Refining operations based in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Hess participates in every stage of the energy process.
As a leading global energy company, Hess employs world class engineers and geoscientists who combine their technical expertise to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions and continue the company’s strong operational performance.
Hess is rich in opportunity. The company has oil and gas properties extending from the North Sea and Indonesia to Equatorial Guinea and the Gulf of Mexico. Hess continues to build a global franchise through its promising portfolio of assets and its diligent exploration program.
In addition to its oil and gas foundation, Hess is dedicated to enriching the communities where it operates. The company’s programs range from renovating a hospital in Russia to building a computer lab in New Orleans. One of its most prominent initiatives is a $20 million contribution to improve teacher training and school infrastructures in Equatorial Guinea.
Hess’ commitment to Houston is demonstrated through its continued initiatives throughout the city. The company donated $3 million to the Hurricane Ike relief efforts and developed an elementary and middle school geology curriculum and teacher’s guide in partnership with the Houston Chronicle. Employees eagerly donate their time to work in numerous company-sponsored events for Target Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, Race for the Cure and the Special Olympics.

The company has also sponsored a number of heath and education initiatives in Gabon and received a social investment award from the Indonesian government for its community investment programs. Thailand, Azerbaijan, and Algeria benefit from Hess support as well.
Domestically, Hess’s people take their responsibility to community service just as seriously. Here in Houston, home of the company’s Exploration and Production operations, employees may donate their time during work hours to a number of company-sponsored charities including Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, United Way, Ronald McDonald House, Target Hunger and Commit for Life.
Hess, however, is not a company to rest on its current accomplishments and is always looking to conquer the next frontier.
