With the world as its playing field, a full-service portfolio for its playbook,
1,200 multinational and multidisciplinary engineers on the “A Team” and the mandate to support oil companies in delivering oil and gas projects across six continents, Genesis aims to score strategic wins by securing significant oil and gas projects in the
next 6–36 months.
Genesis celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2013, having opened for business in London in 1988. At the end of its first year of operation, Genesis employed fewer than 10 engineers with a business focus on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf. Today Genesis employs more than 1,200 engineers with 13 offices worldwide. By successfully balancing and blending early-phase field development planning, project execution and a thorough understanding of project risk, Genesis offers a concept-to-abandon approach to project lifecycle management. The main impetus behind its stunning growth is value creation and a deeper understanding of its clients’ needs on each project.
In Houston, Genesis employs more than 400 engineers and designers whose individual and collective consulting and subsea deepwater experience elevates the team
to world-class status. This Houston powerhouse simultaneously executes multiple strategic contracts for super majors and independent operators based in Houston with projects in the Gulf of Mexico, offshore West Africa and in the Mediterranean, Caspian and Caribbean Seas. Genesis’ multiple project teams march firmly toward the ultimate goal of delivering first-time-right projects on schedule, on budget and to expectations. That Genesis performs 80 percent of its total workload under master service agreements validates this business model and its ability to create value.
Because of its global reach, Genesis offers its professionals opportunities to work locally and internationally in regions as diverse as the tropical waters offshore Trinidad and Tobago and the fierce North Atlantic where legendary fields like Ekofisk and Foinaven tested the mettle of the iconic early operators. From recent college graduates to senior and principal engineers with international experience rivaling that of National Geographic, Genesis welcomes those who seek the challenges of the complex and complicated rather than the security of the rote and mundane.
Located in the heart of Houston’s Energy Corridor, Genesis says, “Bring your innovation, your creativity and your passport. On this team, you will use them all.”
